No Betty Crocker Kitchen for the Newlyweds, says Avocado

Yes, I was working over the weekend last weekend at the Raw Union "festie" (I love Angela Stokes-Monarch way with words!!) and tried to keep my ears perked during the speakers time.

David Wolfe was on the main stage (decorated amazingly with murals and flower altars abound by Nature) He said to bring out all your superfoods and have them all out on the counter! He said Angela and Matt won't be having a Betty Crocker kitchen with all these closed cabinets, etc.

You will be able to SEE what you have and make your superfoods smoothies very easily this way. Your friends will come over and see what you have. Before you know it you'll be known as the raw foods person. Others will want to try these things.

I hadn't thought of it so directly like this.

There was a lot of encouragement to really share with others the raw foods blessings! David was saying to us at the festival that we are all really core to the raw foods movement. I hadn't been to many festivals before, so this made me feel very included and key. People really know eachother and go from festival to festival. My daughter loved it and was very inspired. She wants to go to more festivals. I will need to be a little more pro-active in offering my healing arts if I am going to go to these. Some really good things happened though and the people I worked on were very impressed and assisted by my work. I do a combo of polarity therapy with deep tissue and usually install a craniosacral segment, depending.

But anyways, I felt totally encouraged to step into my shoes and be all that I am who I am and share health with everyone. Last night I spoke up at a women's meeting about what I'm doing and ended up inviting a neighbor (because of speaking up I found out one of the women is a very close neighbor to me) to come over and make juice over here. I also took mentee swimming laps who hasn't been exercising and so it supported us both to do that.

This is really the small steps which create whole lives of greater health, joy and abundance.

So, the image of totally pulling David says just put what you have in your smoothie everyday. When he says it that way, it takes the pressure off to have all the perfect, most expensive superfoods. Just use the ones you have. What a concept. How simple!

So, I happen to have some raw coconut oil and I bought some maca at the festival. I put that with dates, cinnamon, water, some raw sesame seeds and rawish almonds ;) and blended woweeeee I really loved that oh, and half a banana. It was so creamy, satisfying and energizing for me.

The rest of the day I had fresh fruit and lots of veggies.

I'm truly blessed. It's good to be finding my way. Thank you to the pioneers and those that have stuck with the raw foods through the years. It's people like David "Avocado" Wolfe, Matt Monarch, Angela Stokes-Monarch, Brigitte Mars (who I discovered also, like me, began reading Viktoras Kulvinskas books in the 70s! *squee*) :) who really are solid and have a hand to offer the rest of us to know it's possible.

Even in this society so based on fast foods, junk foods, processed foods EVERYWHERE, I can choose quietly humbly and sometimes flamboyantly :) to eat any way I want to! I don't have to follow what everyone else is doing!

Fresh foods from the garden, in season, with a daily smoothie of super foods is sooooo amazing!

Me and Partial Update ;)

I tried two tablespoons of MSM last night and day before. Bunny had put P. McClusky's fab talk on skin on rawfu.com, (your last worry is skin tightening if you're dying of morbid obesity says the doll) then Elaina Joy at Raw Union raved about it in her wkshp.

Earlier in the day and also day before I made superfood smoothie: just water date TWO T's MACA and same of coconut oil, half banana, pinch sea salt. I had raw cacao nibs . . . long story short, TONS of energy sweetpeas.

Seriously, I had some teens racing me laps and they couldn't keep up!

Me at Angela Stokes's (Now, Ms. Angela Stokes-Monarch's) Wedding Festie


I just met Angela Stokes in person and she is a wonderful person. I'm pleased as punch here, just got through telling her how Sound of Music is my fave movie. She sings with raw words to many tunes including Sound of Music.

Here's the thing. This new generation of raw foodies are making it possible for all of us to get with it. I lived in raw foods community back in the 70s and have loads of experience. But, I've not stepped into my leadership shoes. Why? Well, why not. But let me say this. The COMMITMENT I see Matt and Angela and David Wolfe and others who have STAYed Raw all these years has really got my eyes opening.

I'm beginning to see the light.

Now, my niche? It seems it's Rawcism Awareness. How, why do we make this type of lifestyle and high quality nutrition something more than a privileged prize? It's got to be all of our birthright to reap nature's bounty. In fact, white folks, European heritage such as my ancestors actually have spoiled it the most of anyone and now all of a sudden it's (mostly) the priveleged who can "afford" it.

That is what I'm thinking about as I see the Reversing Diabetes in 30 days documentary by Gabriel Cousens. I'm soooo appreciative of the work he is doing in supporting the local native heritage folks to get back to indigenous diet and thereby restore lost health and such. This is key. But true, it's key for us all. We all had an earth-based natural high quality fresh diet at one point in time, hey?

So, here I am, just as I am, full of inconsistencies yet becoming single-pointed, spiritually connected to who I am. I have to be extreeeeemely grateful for Angela Stokes. You've got to really look through her Raw Reform sites and see her Raw Food World TV show puh-lease. It's just, well, I'm totally into it.

She sings!

And she brings me back to my own true north. She makes me wake up and take today to do it. Her story of being in a greenhouse one day and suddenly realizing she wasn't happy being morbidly obese and hey, why not do something about it and then ... her JOURNEY into wellness. And look! See her e-journal. She documents what she intakes each day STILL. It's so important. She is completely accountable. And she really really eats simply.

Well, this won't be the last you hear of me and how I appreciate Ms Angela Stokes-Monarch as well as her husband. I LOVE them. ;)

Go To Bed Hungry Says Monarch

One of the things I heard Matt Monarch say over the weekend was he really got to a point where he was excited to feel hunger. He said go to bed hungry is the biggest health tip.

Me, I was wandering to skylightmassage area and as I worked on people in the courtyard near the stage, got to overhear bits and pieces of lectures. I loved that! I'm really going to add (no, it's not "swilling" geez) pulling, PULLING to my repertoire. Elaina Joy mentioned that as one of the many beauty tips and health tips (same thing) she so generously shared with the Raw Union Festie folks.

Basically, pulling is swishing raw pure high quality oil (Elaina uses sesame) in your mouth. It pulls toxins from the body and I mean, it really sounds like it does. She says this oil quickly becomes poisonous status folks. You've really got to spit it out. I caught rumor of beautiful beautiful reputations when you do this, apparently it's very high energy, beware. :) (I know, I'm so funny).

I'm going to have to make short posts of all the gems and bits I picked up over the weekend. I can't wait to share it all with youse! xxx cindy rawprincess

Energy Awareness In Nonviolent Diet As Seen In My Polarity Therapy Practice

Just romaine dandelion carrot celery cucumber and purple cabbage chopped fine and tossed in 2 T. hemp butter agave ACV sea salt.

I'm definitely recognizing the subtle vibrations and nuances of Being that seem to depend on a nonviolent diet and lifestyle in order to be noticed and enjoyed.

Dr. Stone used to ask his patients to observe a veg diet during their Polarity Therapy series so they could better feel the energy flow and heal.

Truly not a judgment here coming from a place of testing it out on myself. We vegans and raw foodies sometimes are said to smell different (edit note: my kids--not veg like it on Mommy). I also smell heavy meat-eaters and it smells, to me, like death.

Coincidentally, clients w/that meat odor are most often the ones who can't perceive energy motion through their tissues.

No dogma intended absolutely not just really ready to take a stand for spiritual and therapeutic reasons for vegetarian diet as beginning of spectrum w/raw vegan, juice feasting assisting to further raise vibration.

Truth is, the sushi lunch treat earlier got me in festive spirits. Oops, no, yes *real* sushi.
I've been out front about my occasional non-vegan sprees.

The Office Raw Salad xo rawprincess

Just romaine, cuke, carrot. You see the nutritional yeast flakes garnish. Sea salt and Trader Joe's organic Red Wine and Olive Oil Vinagrette.

And I beat the cranky cravings (of yesterday) this a.m. w/green smoothie: just 2c. water, 2 dates, 2 bananas, and a large handful garden-fresh romaine. Did the trick.
